Membership

Active Membership is open to all current Rutgers Law students, which makes the member eligible for executive board positions and voting. 

Affiliate Membership is open to students in other schools at Rutgers University, and students at other ABA approved law schools, but affiliate members shall not be eligible for executive board positions, and are not eligible to vote. 

Advisory Membership is open to both Rutgers staff and professionals in the field, but they are not eligible for executive board positions, and are not eligible to vote. 

Honorary Membership is granted by the Executive Board to recognize individuals who have either contributed substantially to the organization or to the national security law field.


Email us at rutgersnsla@gmail.com with the type of membership you are seeking, your full name, and your affiliation (class year for active membership; class year and school for affiliate membership; and organization for advisory membership).


Members shall be approved by a majority of the Executive Committee. Membership must comply with federal laws prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, sex, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, political, veteran or religious affiliation/status. Compliance with these laws means that membership, benefits, and the election of officers will not be made on the basis of these factors.
